Intrusive Signaler

Sig-Tech Pig Signaler

The Sypris® Technologies Sig-Tech intrusive Pig Signaler is installed at pre-determined intervals to detect the passage of cast polyurethane and spherical type pigs. A trigger extending into the pipeline through a welded boss fitting trips when a pig passes, immediately activating the signaling mechanism.

Installation & Design

The Sig-Tech signaler does not require any adjustments after installation. The boss is designed per wall thickness requirements and set to the correct intrusion depth.

The signaler is compatible with other popular brands and can be installed using equivalent tools — ensuring easy integration into existing pipeline systems and maintenance procedures.

The electrical switch is offered standard with 316SS construction for maximum corrosion resistance and reliability in harsh pipeline environments.

Non-Intrusive Signaler

CD52 Bandit Non-Intrusive Pig Signaler

For over fifteen years, the CD52 Bandit has meant simple, reliable, and durable pipeline pig passage detection in the world's most demanding environments. Non-intrusive means less maintenance and corrosion — and zero possibility of pipeline leaks from the signaler.

Non-Intrusive

Detects pig passage without penetrating the pipeline. Less maintenance, no corrosion risk, and zero possibility of pipeline leaks.

Quick & Easy Install

No hot-tapping required. Bands to pipelines from 2 in. to 60 in. (50–1,524 mm) diameter and can be installed in minutes by any field technician.

Field Proven

Over fifteen years of service with thousands of systems installed globally — from burning deserts to frozen tundras.

Noise-Canceling Antennas

Patented proprietary non-intrusive antenna system rejects nearby magnetic noise and halts costly false-positive triggering.

Line or Battery Power

Two standard D-Cell alkaline batteries provide a full year of service, or 24 VDC line power for indefinite operation.

SCADA Ready

Dry-contact relays (NO/NC) integrate the Bandit into existing pipeline control and signaling networks.

Bandit Variants

Configure the right Bandit for your pipeline — from standard onshore applications through deepwater subsea deployment.

Standard Aluminum

The base CD52 Bandit configuration in aluminum housing — the workhorse for most onshore pipeline applications.

316 Stainless Steel

Corrosion-resistant 316 stainless construction for harsh offshore, desert, and chemically aggressive environments. ATEX, IECEx, and UKCA rated.

Subsea CD52-A30 / A45

Chrome duplex stainless steel subsea signalers rated for depths up to 3,000 m (A30) or 4,500 m (A45) with ROV fishtail handle and nylon ratchet straps.

Portable

Rapidly deployable portable configuration — ideal for temporary monitoring, commissioning, and spot-checks along a line.

Flex Cable Extension

Separates the electronics from the sensor using flex cable in 10 ft (3 m) increments up to 140 ft (42.7 m) — useful for buried, insulated, or hard-to-reach lines.

Rigid Pipe Extension

Carbon steel rigid stalk available from 12 in. to 180 in. to raise the indicator above grade, snow, or insulation for visibility.

Options & Accessories

Tailor the Bandit to your site conditions and remote-monitoring needs.

Stainless Steel Sun Shade

Protects the Bandit from intense sunlight, reducing internal temperature and prolonging component life.

Heater System

Recommended for operation in extreme cold — rated for temperatures below −22°F (−30°C).

Remote Indication System (RIS)

Array of four high-luminosity LEDs providing visual passage indication at distances up to 328 ft (100 m).

LineStat Satellite Radio

Transmits passage time, date, and GPS location via email or SMS message — perfect for remote pipelines.
